The Arts Page will present an evening of wine, cheese and the University Singers in a benefit performance for the Mustard Seed Communities on Saturday May 29 at 7:30 in the evening. The occasion will also be used to launch the “Dare to Care, Adopt a Child Programme” being undertaken by Mustard Seed Communities. Dare to Care is a home for abandoned children who are infected with HIV/AIDS. The home is designed to care for twenty children abandoned by parents who are themselves infected with HIV/AIDS and who are not able to care for their children. The home currently houses fifteen children. The objective of the “Dare to Care Adopt a Child Programme” is to provide opportunities for members of the public, corporate Jamaica and other interested groups to support the home, by making donations towards the care of a child. Interested parties may get further information on the programme at the show or by calling the home after the launch.
