Mona School of Business and Management's undergraduate Accounting Programme received Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Accreditation for a 5-year period beginning 2021. The Programme last received accreditation in 2016.
Course exemptions were received for five of the nine courses for which applications were made, namely: Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law and Taxation. Exemption accreditation enables the ACCA to award a specific level of exemption to graduates of an educational programme after conducting a full assessment of the Programme’s regulations, syllabus and assessments. As many students embark on earlier learning which is equivalent to ACCA exams, where appropriate, ACCA aims to ensure that students’ entry points match the knowledge and skills they have gained from their previous qualifications. This will allow students another route to ACCA membership.
