As part of its efforts to provide career development support for students, MSBM organized a Career Development session under the theme “Differentiating Your Personal Brand" on Thursday July 4, led by MSBM Alumnus Lennox Parkins.
Parkins MBA, PMP, CMA, studied Accounting and Management Studies at The University of the West Indies Mona Campus, where he won the Leonard Decordova medal in Management in 1978 for graduating at the top of his class at the former Department of Management Studies.
Mr. Parkins currently serves as Group Controller at Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd. in Toronto Canada. As a mentor for the Certified Management Accountants’ (CMA) Internationally Educated Professionals unit, he is accustomed to making a positive change in the lives of those around him.
He volunteered his time to give back to the school by sharing his wisdom and experience gained in navigating the first world professional arena. Mr.Parkins presented with enthusiasm, sharing anecdotes and demonstrating proven interviewing skills and methods .The lively and interactive presentation was well received by both students and staff, who found the session to be both insightful and useful.
Mona School of Business and Management thanks Mr. Parkins for his contribution to the growth of our students, and encourages other alumni to get involved in giving back to the School as mentors to current students.
