MSBM National Security student cops Governor General's Award

Nickoyon Brown, a Mona School of Business and Management MSc National Security and Strategic Studies final year student, was one of thirty-five (35) inspiring Jamaicans selected to receive a Governor-General’s Achievement Award (GGAA) for 2020.

The award, which recognizes outstanding contribution to community and nation building, was presented in a virtual ceremony in February 2021, under the theme: ‘Engaging, Empowering & Inspiring Jamaicans’.

Nickoyon demonstrated evidence of leadership through innovative and sustainable community projects that impact family, youth and education, and was selected from the pool of candidates in the Over 35 category. Nickoyon Brown has a mentorship program where he mentors troubled or at risk boys who are in need of guidance.
