The Middle Management Development Programme for Financial Services two day workshop was held at the Mona Visitors’ Lodge & Conference Centre on Thursday, February 7, 2013. The workshop was planned and offered by The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) in collaboration with the Jamaica Institute of Financial Services (JIFS).
Held under the theme “Converting Strategy into Action for Superior Results” the programme was designed to give middle managers in the financial services the tools and techniques to boost company performance.
The workshop guided providers of financial services in negotiating the constantly changing global business terrain. Participants were taught techniques and best practices for skills including; motivating team members, detecting early warning signs, problem solving, and assessing operational outcomes for new opportunities. Each session was facilitated by regionally renowned facilitators from MSBM and involved financial services case studies prepared specifically for the programme.

Lawrence- Director of the Professional Services Unit , MSBM, Dr Lawrence Nicholson - Head of the Decision Sciences & Information Systems Unit, MSBM, and Ralph Thomas Senior Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Finance & Accounting, MSBM.
