The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) at the University of the West (UWI), Mona, has been shortlisted for the 2017 Association of Association of MBA's (AMBA) MBA Innovation Award.
Fifty-year-old AMBA is the authority on postgraduate management education, and is committed to raising its profile and quality standards, internationally, for the benefit of business schools, students and alumni and employers.
According to a release from the MSBM, it has been shortlisted based on the implementation of the Bloomberg Finance Lab at the school, and its incorporation in the MBA programme. MSBM is one of six finalists who have been shortlisted for the award, and the winner will be announced at the AMBA Golden Awards and Gala Dinner to be held in London on Friday, February 2.
The event will be attended by Business School leaders from across AMBA's global network to pay tribute to the best successes in MBA education over the past year.
The following awards will be presented: MBA Student of the Year Award, Sponsored by The Wall Street Journal; MBA Innovation Award, Sponsored by Liaison International; MBA Entrepreneurial Venture Award; and the MBA Employer and Business School Partnership Award.
