PRINCIPLES & PRACTICES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Prerequisites: 
No prior knowledge of Project Management is assumed or required for this course.
Objectives: 
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close a project
define a project using a Project Charter
identify and manage stakeholders through a Stakeholder Register and Stakeholder Management Plan
develop a Project Management Plan to guide the execution, monitoring, controlling and closing of a project
use various project management tools and techniques and use Microsoft® Project to develop a project schedule (Participants are expected to have a laptop for use during the Microsoft® Project Module).

Certification: 

At the end of the course, participants who achieve an overall grade of 50% or more on individual assignments and 50% or more on group assignments will be issued a Certificate of Achievement.

Participants who achieve an overall grade of less than 50% will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

In addition, to be eligible for either certificate, participants must be present for at least 32 hours out of the total 36 contact hours.
