Project Management

Management plays a vital role in an organization's development. It encompasses the fundamental elements of planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and motivating. The use of Project Management has a proven track record of creating the required changes within an organization.

The Mona School of Business and Management offers the following suite of project management courses designed with corporate needs and insight in mind. The courses are uniquely created to allow participants to pull on their professional experience while learning contemporary management techniques. Prerequisites
Completion of the 36-hour course Principles and Practices of Project Management is required for this course
Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close a project and approach PMP Exam questions. Participants will focus on key exam concepts and get a better understanding of the material.
Certification

Certifications of Participation will be awarded to those participants who attain the prescribed levels of attendance and performance.

Prerequisites
Attendees should have managed or participated in multiple project teams in the past and have training in Project Management.
Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Initiate a programme and define the key outputs and outcomes needed for realizing the programme benefits, Manage groups of related projects in a coordinated way to maximize their benefits, Ensure that programme benefits and outcomes are in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Certification

Certificates of Achievement will be awarded to those participants who attain the prescribed levels of attendance and performance.

Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Transform strategic initiatives into high performing project portfolios, execute portfolio plans and control portfolio performance and use Information Communications Technology to manage portfolios.
Certification

At the end of the course, participants who achieve an overall grade of 50% or more on both the individual and group assignments will be issued a Certificate of Achievement.

Participants who achieve an overall grade of less than 50% will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

In addition, to be eligible for either certificate, participants m ust attend all 3 days of the course.

Prerequisites
No prior knowledge of Project Management is assumed or required for this course.
Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be equipped to:
Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close a project, define a project using a Project Charter, identify and manage stakeholders through a Stakeholder Register and Stakeholder Management Plan, develop a Project Management Plan to guide the execution, monitoring, controlling and closing of a project, use various project management tools and techniques and use Microsoft® Project to develop a project schedule (Participants are expected to have a laptop for use during the Microsoft® Project Module).
Certification

At the end of the course, participants who achieve an overall grade of 50% or more on individual assignments and 50% or more on group assignments will be issued a Certificate of Achievement.

Participants who achieve an overall grade of less than 50% will be issued a Certificate of Participation.

In addition, to be eligible for either certificate, participants must be present for at least 32 hours out of the total 36 contact hours.
