The Opening Ceremony of the 2003 Mona Academic Conference will be held on Friday, August 29, 2003 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the University Undercroft, Mona Campus, Kingston 7, Jamaica, W.I.

Immediately following the Opening Ceremony, the Principal of the Mona Campus, will host a Reception at the Mona Visitors Lodge and Conference Centre.

The Panel Discussions will be held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August from 9:00 to approximately 6:15 p.m. in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Coffee Breaks and Lunch will be organised daily.

There will be no formal registration for persons wishing to attend the 2003 Mona Academic Conference. Interested persons are welcome to attend the conference and participate in the discussions which will follow each panel presentation that will take place in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre of the Fcaulty of Social Sciences on August 30 and 31, 2003.

We invite all our guests to sign the guest-book at Secretariat desk upon arrival.

We are pleased this year to announce that students and other interested persons residing in Trinidad & Tobago or Barbados will be able to watch the proceedings daily by teleconferencing at the St. Augustine and Cave Hill Campuses.

Visitors and participants in the 2003 Mona Academic Conference will have the option of staying at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, located at 81 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5, Jamaica, W.I at a rate of US$109.50 per night or The Mona Visitors Lodge (early reservations necessary) at rates of US$75-100 nightly.
