US $2000.00 (Year 1). Students will continue on the award in subsequent years based on academic performance.
Maximum Tenure: 
Three (3) years
Eligibility: 

The award is available to students registered in the Undergraduate Degree programme and are:

  • Jamaican nationals; 
  • enrolled in any faculty (year 3-5 for Medical Sciences Student).
Criteria: 

The award will be based on: 

  • high academic performance in at least three (3) subjects at CAPE Units Ι and ΙΙ or attained at least a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 in the previous academic year of the UWI examinations;
  • verifiable financial need;
  • involvement in co-curricular/community activities;
  • leadership qualities etc.
Method of Selection: 

Selections will be done by the Donor on the recommendation of The UWI.
