Topic: Bridging the Research and Innovation Gaps Between Academia and Industry

Overview: Today, more than ever, it has become necessary for academia and industry to collaborate more closely. In the Caribbean there is still a significant gap between the research performed in academia and the research required by local industries to more efficiently compete internationally. Without such collaborations the potential for innovative solutions that may be internationally marketable is severely diminished.

In this presentation we discuss the need for, and potential novel mechanisms for, closer collaboration between the UWI and Industry.
