This course aims to review the principles and practices in the taxation of the income to individuals, partners and corporate enterprises. Students should acquire detailed knowledge of the Jamaican Income Tax system as it affects individuals, as well as awareness of the process of resolving income tax disputes, interpretation of legislation and the effect of income tax on financial and economic decisions of individuals and corporate enterprises. Comparisons and illustrative examples will be drawn from other Commonwealth jurisdictions.
