Time Value of Money

  1. Basic Time Value of Money Computations
  2. Estimate the present value of a growing annuity.

Bond & Stock Valuation

  1. Value a bond.
  2. Value a stable growth dividend paying stock, using a dividend discount model.
  3. Value a dividend paying stock, using a 2-stage dividend discount model.

Portfolio Theory & Cost-of-Capital

  1. This spreadsheet allows you to estimate the implied equity premium in a market.
  2. Run a regression of stock returns against market returns and estimate risk parameters.
  3. Estimate the unlevered beta for a firm and compute the betas as a function of the leverage of the firm.
  4. This spreadsheet allows you to estimate the synthetic rating and cost of debt for any firm.
  5. This spreadsheet allows you to convert book values of debt into market values.
  6. Estimate the accounting beta on a division or firm.

Capital Budgeting

  1. Estimate the cash flows to the firm on a project.
  2. Estimate the average return on capital, NPV and IRR on a project
  3. Estimate the cash flows to equity on a project.
