Course Description
This course provides students with an understanding of the main principles and concepts of taxation. It aims to provide students with a knowledge of how taxation policy is formulated and applied in Jamaica and selected countries overseas countries. The course will enable students to understand how the Jamaican tax liabilities of individuals and organizations are calculated. The study of Jamaica tax law and practice is further developed in the context of tax planning and ethical considerations.
