Synopsis: 
Cytochrome c oxidase catalyses the reduction of oxygen to water at two vastly different rates determined by the prevailing conformation. We employed bio-computing to view the enzyme’s oxygen/ligand binding site but found no evidence that this site cycles between an opened and closed position as predicted by others.
