Wellness is an
on-going lifestyle approach to personal excellence. It
is a deliberate, conscious decision to pursue optimal
well-being. Wellness encompasses the body, mind and spirit.
It is a positive choice, pursued because it is judged
to be a richer way to be alive.
Wellness promotes individual well-being through a balance
in the following areas:
- Social - Cultural - Physical
- Emotional - Intellectual - Life Planning
- Environmental - Spiritual
The University Health Centre is committed to the development
of a wellness programme for staff and students on the
Mona Campus. The overall objective of the programme
