We are pleased to invite you to an exclusive conversation with the IMF’s Managing Director, Ms. Christine Lagarde, who will be in Jamaica on November 17. She has set aside time during this official visit for a dialogue with faculty and students of UWI’s Mona Campus, which will be held in Lecture Theatre 3 of the Medical Sciences Faculty, from 10:15 to 12:15.
This discussion will be preceded by the launch of “Unleashing Growth and Strengthening Resilience in the Caribbean”, a new IMF publication, the authors of which will be available to answer your questions.

Amlata Persaud is a Visiting Researcher at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) and a doctoral candidate in the International and Comparative Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University, pursuing an Ed.D degree in International Education Development. She received the Rhodes Scholarship in 2004, becoming the first female Guyanese to win this prestigious award.
