Dr. E. Andrew Kapp

Dr. E. Andrew Kapp photoDr. Kapp is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Associate Director of the Heartland OSHA Training Institute Education Center. He teaches graduate, undergraduate and professional courses in occupational safety and health, environmental management, and environmental health & safety law. Prior to his position at UW-Whitewater he held positions in government, consulting, and private industry.

Dr. Kapp earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and conducts research in the area of occupational health & safety management, focusing on the influence of leadership and safety climate on employee safety performance. He has published numerous articles, book chapters, and technical reports and is a regular presenter at regional and national events. Dr. Kapp is an OSHA-approved outreach instructor for general industry. He is a member of National Safety Council and American Society of Safety Engineers.
