The Institute of Caribbean Studies
The institute offers a variety of courses all aimed at deepening the understanding of our Caribbean culture.
Our Aims:
- To develop and promote research on Caribbean History, Language, Literature and Culture in general, including interdisciplinary and comparative research, at undergraduate, graduate and staff levels.
- To disseminate this body of knowledge via seminars, symposia, conferences, lectures and publications in Caribbean Studies.
- To develop a documentation centre for bibliographic documentation and other material bases for facilitating informaton and research.
- To develop links with other centres for Caribbean research within and outside the region.
- To provide short courses and short programs on Caribbean culture.
