Training Services

The Concept

Training is fundamental to the delivery of the Campus’ IT vision. Consequently Mona Information Technology Services (MITS) regards it as a fundamental responsibility to be integrally involved in the determination of IT training.
Adequate and appropriate training for MITS personnel is fundamental to the ability of the staff to offer quality advice and technology support to the University Campus and its community. All staff will be appropriately trained on an on-going basis in keeping with the needs of the tasks to be performed, as they develop and change. In addition staff will be encouraged to become involved with related societies and fraternities in order to remain acquainted and in touch with technology trends and industry offerings.
Training for non-IT administrative staff will be specific to the tools they require to manage and master their job functions.
Training for academic staff will address the need for developing the technology support skills required to use and take advantage of the technology in the teaching and research tools that the Campus is deploying.
