 The University Bookshop, in association with Pelican Publishers, invites you to "Wellness Day" on Friday, 18th July 2014 from 10:00am - 4:00pm at The UWI Bookshop, Mona Campus. "Wellness Day" promotes a holistic approach to healthy lifestyle and wellness through proper nutrition, exercise, natural remedies and financial stability.

The UWI Alumni Association (UWIAA) hosts its annual Pelican award ceremony on
July 17, 2014 at the Mona Visitor’s Lodge at 7 p.m. (Cocktails at 6:30 p.m.)

The Pelican Award is given to a graduate of the UWI who has contributed greatly to the development of the University or has contributed to the Caribbean. This year's awardees are Clinical Director of the University Health Centre Dr. Blossom Anglin-Brown , Professor of Public Health and Ageing, Denise Eldemire-Shearer, and  Principal of The UWI, Mona Campus, Professor Archibald McDonald.

The Faculty of Law  will host a press launch of the Mona Law Professional Internship Programme (MLPIP). The Mona Law Professional Internship Programme is being championed by the Faculty of Law (Mona) with a view to offering students reading for the LLB degree, a unique opportunity to work alongside a legal professional in a practical environment.
The launch will feature testimonials from partner organizations and interns.
