USAID Hands Over Education Community of Practice
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) officially hands over the Caribbean Partners for Educational Progress to the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona on June 25, 2013 at 11:30 a.m.. The new home of this community of practice (CoP), which brings education stakeholders together to share their expertise in improving educational practice, will ensure sustainability and expand its reach beyond Jamaica to the rest of the Caribbean.

The Presentation of Graduates Ceremonies will take place at the Mona Campus on Friday and Saturday, November 01 and 02, 2013. There will be four Ceremonies.
Friday November 1, MORNING (10:00 a.m.)
Graduates from the Faculities of Science and Technology; Humanities and Education and from the Institute for Gender and Development Studies
Friday November 1, AFTERNOON (5:30 p.m.)
Graduates from the Faculties of Medical Sciences; Law; Engineering
Saturday, November 2, MORNING (10:00 a.m.)
Graduates from the Faculty of Social Sciences except those from the Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM).

1984 UWI Nursing Graduates make donation to School of Nursing
The 1984 University School of Nursing graduates will be celebrating their 30th year reunion this year at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. As part of the celebration, presentations will be made to the University School of Nursing and teaching staff for their dedication and contribution to the development of the 1984 graduates. The batch opened an Endowment Fund to which part proceeds from the reunion will be deposited.

20th Anniversary Celebrations - Unveiling of new name of the IDU - now CETL
The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, formerly the Instructional Development Unit, will be hosting a week of activities to celebrate its 20th year of service on the UWI, Mona Campus from Monday April 15 to Friday April 19, 2013.
One of these activities is the unveiling of our new name and the launch of a Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Exhibition on Monday April 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the CETL's Training Room (upstairs the Inter-Faculty Lecture Theatre).
We invite the UWI community to join us as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.
