UWI/UNESCO Philosophy Day
The Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, will be hosting our annual UNESCO Philosophy Day on November 15th, 2018 commencing 10:00AM. The theme for 2018 is: “No Abuse, No Harm: Each Child is the Future.”
The UWI/UNESCO PHILOSOPHY DAY is an annual event observed by the Philosophy Section of the Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy. The intent of this occasion is to sensitize Jamaican and the Caribbean society about the relevance of Philosophy as an academic discipline in enhancing national, regional and global peace.
The opening ceremony will be followed by the visiting of booths between 2 and 5 pm.
