Campus Closure for the Holidays

This is to advise that The UWI Mona Campus will be closed from December 23, 2016 to January 2, 2017. We resume normal operations on January 3, 2017. 

Classes will resume on January 16, 2017.

In light of the threat posed by Hurricane Matthew, The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus will cease all academic and administrative operations as of Sunday, October 2, 2016.

Classes will be held as scheduled today, Friday, September 30, and The Weekend School in the Faculty of Social Sciences will also go ahead as usual on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

It is important to note that the Health Centre will be closed as of Saturday, October 1, 2016. It is therefore imperative that persons with chronic illnesses secure at least two weeks supply of medication as a precautionary measure.

New dates will be set for examinations that were scheduled for Monday, October 3, 2016.

The Human Resource Managment Division , UWI, Mona  host  The National Housing Trust on Thursday September 29th starting at 1pm.  The NHT will be making a presentation and answering questions pertaining to their new and additional benefits available.

The inaugural UWI Global Giving Week will be from August 1st -7th 2016 under the theme "Emancipate. Educate. Donate".

As part of the celebrations we are inviting all alumni and families for a get-together on Sunday August 7, 2016 beginning with a one-hour service at The UWI Chapel at 9:15 a.m. followed by a brunch and art exhibition/auction at the UWI Regional Headquarters. See more details HERE
