Jamaican premiere of the film, Womanish Ways, Freedom, Human Rights and Democracy: The Women's Suffrage Movement in The Bahamas.

TALK - Poetry,Live Music and Comedy
A new poetry, live music and comedy series called “TALK” takes place on February 20th at the Spot Sports Bar and Grill at the UWI, Mona Students’ Union.
Entry to the event is $300 pre-sold and $500 at the gate for students with ID. All other persons will be $500 pre-sold and $700 at the gate.

Eight by Ten
This will be an entertaining evening of eight ten-minute theatre pieces selected and directed by eight directors currently working in Jamaica.
The featured directors are Pierre Lemaire, Michael Daley, Nadean Rawlins, Paul Issa, Fabian Thomas, Jean-Paul Menou, Joan Belfon and Brian Heap.
‘Eight by Ten’ will offer the audience a unique opportunity to enjoy some refreshingly different theatre pieces. The performance will be for one night only and tickets are $1000 available from the Philip Sherlock Centre and on the evening of the performances.

The UWI, Mona clubs and societies through the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts will host Christmas in the Park on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 7 pm at the Emancipation Park.

UWI, Mona Christmas Concert
The UWI, Mona clubs and societies through the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts will host its annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 7 pm on the Lawns facing the Assembly Hall. The Concert provides a musical treat from the UWI, Mona diverse student talent.
The UWI community and the public are invited.

Screening of Cuban Film: "Kangamba"
As part of the activities to observe CARICOM-Cuba Day 2012 and the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between CARICOM-Cuba and Jamaica- Cuba, the Embassy of Cuba, in collaboration with the Office of the Principal, will host the screening of the film ‘Kangamba” this evening, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre (N1) beginning at 7.00 p.m.

An evening at the theatre for UWI Staff, Students and the UWI Township Project.This Monday come out to the Philip Sherlock Centre and see three plays free of cost, just present your UWI ID at the door.

Jamaica Folk Singers Concert at UWI, Mona –WJC
The UWI, Mona –Western Jamaica Campus will host the Jamaica Folk Singers in Concert on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm at the St. John’s Community Action Centre. Part proceeds of the Concert will be donated to the UWI, Mona-WJC Student Financial Support Fund and the “We Care Fund for the Paediatric Ward at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.”
Tickets are available at $1500 and students pay $1000. A special group rate is also available.
