THE 34TH ANNUAL ELSA GOVIEA MEMORIAL LECTURE
The Department of History and Archaeology will host the 34th Annual Elsa Goveia Memorial Lecture on 10 April 2018 at the Sir Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, beginning at 5:30 pm.
The lecture titled, “Pine and Palm: The Geography of the Black Struggle in 1960s North America”, will be delivered by Professor Brenda Gayle Plummer, Department of History and Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Edward Baugh Distinguished Lecture
On Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 11 am at the Undercroft, Senate Building, the Department of Literatures in English will present the 11th Edward Baugh Distinguished Lecture with Special Guest Speaker Professor Kwame Dawes of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Prof Dawes will present on the topic "The African Poetry Book Fund, Transforming the Landscape of African Poetry"
This lecture is open to the public and all are invited.
