Inaugural Professorial Lecture Examines Hurricanes, Tourism and Economic Growth
“Effects of Monetary Policy, Structural Changes and Hurricanes on Tourism and Economic Growth of Jamaica” is the title of the inaugural professorial lecture being delivered by Dr. Edward Ghartey, Professor of Economics, UWI, Mona. The Lecture takes place on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 3 pm at the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre, UWI, Mona.
The lecture will examine the causal relationships among economic growth, tourism expansion, the real exchange rates, structural changes and hurricanes effect in Jamaica over the period 1963 to 2008.
