Dr. Taylor, current Head of the Climate Studies Group, Mona, was one of two invited speakers at the First National Climate conference of Suriname. The Conference was held on October 19, 2009 and was co-ordinated by the Ministry of Labour, Technological Development and Environment of Suriname.

The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
