19th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (CCEM)
The conference provides a forum to engage in meaningful dialogue on education with the focus this year being on quality, equity, access and paths in education for the Commonwealth citizens.
There will be two new additions to the CCEM with the "Regional Ministerial Caucus" on June 22 allowing ministers to discuss issues of relevance to their region and enable them to address the need to create a balance between politics and policy.
The "Small States Meeting” the following day will discuss critical and problematic issues affecting Commonwealth countries.
The conference is being organised jointly by the London-based Commonwealth Secretariat and the Bahamas government. It has as its theme “Quality Education for Equitable Development: Performance, Paths and Productivity”.
