Grade 9 Mathematics Problem Solving Competition

The School of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona in collaboration with the Jamaican Ministry of Education is staging the Grade 9 Mathematics Problem Solving Competition.  The competition will involve three Grade 9 students from schools within each of the six regions working together as a team to solve mathematical problems and explore mathematical investigations.Round 1: third week in January 2013/ second week in February 2013Round 2:  March 21, 2013Round 2, which involve teams in the regions who received the three highest scores in round1, will take place at the University of the West Indies, Mona.In addition to the competition, a workshop for teachers who accompanu students has also been organised.
