Annual Education Conference

THEME: Successful School Leadership through Creative Partnerships The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) is hosting the Annual Education Conference  at the Rose Hall Resort and Spa in Montego Bay as part of its professional development programme. The conference, which focuses "the role of middle managers in effective school administration and management", is a follow up on last year's conference.The objectives include:

• Providing a forum for discussion on issues related to successful school leadership.
• Highlighting strategies to promote creative partnerships within and outside schools as a means to achieving quality schools
• Assisting in the building of a cadre of successful school leaders
• Sensitizing participants to the critical role of collaboration among stakeholders in the education system
• providing opportunities for sharing of best practices in school and community partnerships
• Contributing to the continuing professional development of teachers and school leaders
