GEOG2301: Geographical Thought & Research Methods

GEOG1101 and GEOG1201

 

Course outline
  • Defining a research problem. Theoretical frameworks and geographic thought. Formulation of the research design: methods and data. Methods of data analysis: qualitative and quantitative. Producing the report.
  • Laboratory course of 36 hours and tutorials.

 

Evaluation

One 2-hour written paper 40%
Coursework (lab exercises and projects) 60%
