Book Launch: Jamaica in the Canadian Experience
The Faculty of Social Sciences and the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada will be hosting a book launch on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 6:00pm.
The book to be launched is “Jamaica in the Canadian Experience: A Multiculturalizing Presence” by: Carl E. James & Andrea Davis. The venue is the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) Garden.

Emulating Human Speech Recognition : “A Scene Analysis Approach to Improving Robustness in Automatic Speech Recognition” - by Dr. André Coy
Dr. André Coy, Lecturer in the Department of Physics will be launching his book entitled Emulating Human Speech Recognition : “A Scene Analysis Approach to Improving Robustness in Automatic Speech Recognition” on December 6, 2012, 6:00pm at The University Bookshop.
Introductory remarks will be made by Dr. Donald Walwyn, former Head of the Department of Physics and Consultant to the Government on Telecommunications Policy.

The UWI, Mona Bookshop will host the Signing and Reading of the book, "Jamaica Gold" on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 1 pm at the Bookshop.

ICT Policy Launch and Book Launch
The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) and the Caribbean Institute for Media and Communications will host the co-launch the Mona ICT Policy Centre and the book, “Ringtones of Opportunities: Policy, Technology and Access in Caribbean Communications”. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 6 pm at the Undercroft.
The Mona Information Communication Technologies (ICT) Centre which will be housed at the Mona School of Business and Management has grown out of the Telecommunications Policy Management Programme (TPM) and is designed to provide consultation, research, training and education, and outreach to primarily the telecommunication and information communication industries.

"October Afternoon" Book Launch
The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, Department of Literatures in English will host the launch of October Afternoon, a collection of poetry by Dr. Paulette Ramsay, on Tuesday, October 30 at 6:30pm at the Undercroft on the Mona Campus.
The university community and the public are invited.
