CLASSES TO RESUME IN ONLINE MODE AT THE UWI MONA APRIL 14

The University of the West Indies, (The UWI) Mona will resume classes in an online/remote mode on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. This is following a one (1) month suspension of classes with a view to having the seven (7) academic Faculties prepare to facilitate the delivery of all courses through an online platform and to allow students to prepare to engage teaching and learning using the online/remote delivery mode.

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE UWI MONA EXTENDED UNTIL APRIL 30, 2020

The UWI Mona wishes to advise the public that the deadline to submit applications for Undergraduate Degree Programmes, has been extended by a month to April 30, 2020.

Answer: Classes will resume in an on-line/virtual mode on April 14, 2020.

The current COVID-19 situation is a dynamic and continuously evolving one and The University of the West Indies (UWI), therefore is in a position of continuous evaluation and re-evaluation of its response plan. This is being done in close collaboration with national agencies, and guided by collective policies, systems, and paramount, is the public health and wellbeing of our campus and wider national community in mind.

As at today, Friday March 13, 2020, the Ministry of Health and Wellness, in Jamaica has reported 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Jamaica which brings the total number of cases to 8.
