Gabrielle Jamela Hosein

Gabrielle Jamela Hosein is currently a Ph.D student in the Department of Anthropology at University College London, UK. . She completed her MPhil at the Centre for Gender and Development Studies at the UWI, St. Augustine with a thesis titled Gender, Generation and Negotiation among Young Indian females in Trinidad.

She has been involved in stimulating feminist activism among young women in Trinidad over the last few years. She is also a Trinidadian performance poet and has recorded with a group of young female performers who call perform under the label "10 Sisters"
