Affected Services:

1. VPN Access: vpn.mona.uwi.edu is currently unavailable.
2. MonaConnect Wireless Internet: Potentially slower connections to external websites

Details:

Digicel has confirmed a fiber break in the Liguanea area, which is affecting several of our services. As a result:

• VPN Access: The primary VPN server (vpn.mona.uwi.edu) is currently unavailable. Users should connect via vpn2.mona.uwi.edu, which operates through FLOW.
• MonaConnect Wireless Internet: The disruption may result in slower connection speeds when accessing external websites via wireless internet.

We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
