TO: ALL LECTURERS, TUTORS, ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF

Good day, colleagues,

Please be advised that the MonaVLE was unavailable on Saturday, January 31, 2026, between 5:00PM – 10:15PM.  This was due to an issue external to the VLE.  The relevant technical teams worked assiduously to ensure the fastest possible resolution. We are aware that students who accessed the MonaVLE at 5:00pm on Saturday January 31 and beyond would not have seen their active course containers listed. As such, these students would not have been able to view, complete, nor submit graded work to the MonaVLE.  

Given the down time caused by this outage we are suggesting that lecturers who may have had assignments due on the weekend or Monday that the due date and time be adjusted to accommodate the students who may have been affected by the outage.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this outage has caused.
