Workshop objectives:

• Introduce the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases and its focus on chronic diseases and implementation science
• Discuss ways of collaborating and networking on implementation science research projects through upcoming funding opportunities.
• Discuss appropriate theoretical models, research designs and measurement approaches for implementation science projects of interest to participants.
• Consider contextual influences on chronic disease interventions that are pertinent to small island states in the Caribbean.
• Introduce researchers to the field of implementation science
• Showcase examples of implementation research and the uptake of research findings into policy and practice.
