This course introduces learners to evidence-based knowledge of human anatomy and physiology of the healthy male and female body at various stages of the life cycle. Learners will utilize critical-thinking skills to relate structure to function, determining appropriate nursing reactions to deviations from normal physiology, and apply anatomical knowledge within his or her nursing practice. The course provides a foundation for integration of evidence-based knowledge in responding to persons along the wellness-illness continuum and across the life-cycle.
