NURS 4033

Course Name:
Clinical Internship
Year/Specialization:
4

This clinical nursing internship is a ten-week intensive clinical experience that provides students with an opportunity to synthesize knowledge and skills acquired in the previous 8 semesters of the BScN programme in various health care settings locally, regionally or internationally.

The internship will bridge the gap between undergraduate education and “real-life” professional nursing practice, by assisting the nursing student to transition to an independent, competent professional. The student will be supported in consolidation of clinical and leadership skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

This practicum experience will allow students to analyze the broad cultural, environmental, socio-economic, and political systems that contribute to health status and outcomes, health policies, and health care delivery
