This book, edited by Professor Errol Miller, presents several policy initiatives taken by selected Caribbean countries to transform their educational systems to make them more efficient in realizing their objectives. The countries included are Jamaica, Belize, the Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, and the OECS territories. The book consists of nine chapters on the educational developments in each of these territories, along with an introductory chapter by Professor Miller in which he situates Caribbean education in a global context, and a concluding chapter where he provides an assessment of education in the Commonwealth Caribbean.
