Presented by Street Law Caribbean in collaboration with the Continuing Legal Professional Development Committee, General Legal Council for Jamaica. It was in tribute to the Honourable Mr Justice Roy Anderson, CD, retired Judge of the Revenue Court and Adjunct Lecturer, UWI Faculty of Law at Mona. Adv. Mohamed Ameermia, Commissioner at the South African Human Rights Commission was slated to be the Guest Lecturer. However due to unforeseen circumstance he was unable to attend. An amended version of his lecture “Advancing the Socio- Economic Rights Agenda – Some Emerging Trends and Lessons from South Africa” was delivered by Professor David McQuoid-Mason, Founder of Street Law South Africa on behalf of Adv. Ameermia.
MLIU has applied for, and expects to receive, CLPD accreditation for the Public Lecture.
Applicants for CLPD Credits was required to pay a fee of J$4,000.00.
