La Maison

Cluster 13:

Named in reference to EU member country France

Up to 2008, La Maison was known to most Prestonites as the “White House” because one of the eight flats in the hall located on the cluster had been the residence of Hall Chairpersons. Cluster 13 members are known to be fierce competitors in sports - football and track - and very creative in the line of parties and entertainment. Up to 2004, La Maison hosted “Backtrack”, an integrative throwback party held at the Students Union, which was later renamed "De-Tension". The cluster has and still organizes a domino tournament.

The cluster’s name is based on association with France, the member country of the European Union at the time that financed the construction of the Hall. The completion of La Maison was made possible through the assistance of the then Consortium Graduate School.

In 2010, Sanjay Thompson won at the Mr & Miss Preston Talent and Pageant Show. Sherika Moulton won at the same in 2013.

La Maison is a member of Zone 4.
