Schedule Appointments

Appointments can be made by calling 970-1992 or by visiting our offices.
Initial appointments last between 30 and 50 minutes and follow-up appointments are approximately 45 – 50 minutes.

Initial Appointment

When making your first appointment (which is called an intake session) you are required to fill out the Client information/Intake Form which may be downloaded and sent in to us. You may also come in to our offices to complete it. First time clients are not seen without having completed these forms, unless it is an emergency situation.

Follow-up appointments

Appointments are usually available within one or two weeks of your request. However, during peak periods the wait can be longer. In that case, you will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted if a slot becomes available before your scheduled appointment time.

Emergencies

If you feel overwhelmed by a problem or crisis and feel you are unable to wait for a scheduled appointment, please inform our administrative staff. You will be asked to come in and wait to speak with a counsellor on the same or the following day.

Waiting List

Clients are given the earliest available slot convenient to them. However, if the client feels that the waiting period is too long, he/she will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted as soon as there is a cancelled appointment.

Cancellations/Re-scheduling

Cancellations and re-schedulings are to be made at least 24 hours in advance. If two consecutive sessions are missed without contact from the client regarding the nature of his/her situation, the client will be contacted by us to see if he/she wishes to continue counselling or to schedule a termination session.
