The minimum requirement for admission to the LLM shall normally be a Lower Second Class Honours degree (GPA 2.5) or its equivalent.
The following persons are eligible to apply for admission into the LLM/Postgraduate Diploma programmes:
A person who applies for admittance to the LLM programme, who does not satisfy the criteria for the LLM but who satisfies the Board of Graduate Studies and Research of their capability to undertake the course of study leading to the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate and Commercial Law or Public Law may be admitted to read for the Postgraduate Diploma. Qualifying Examination Applicants may, at the discretion of the Board for Graduate Studies and Research, be required to take a qualifying examination consisting of at least two papers of a minimum of two hours each, which shall be of a standard equivalent to that of Part II or Part III of the LLB degree examination in order to satisfy the Board of their suitability to undertake the course of degree leading to The UWI LLM.
