Mona Law Forum on the CCJ's Ruling in Shanique Myrie v the State of Barbados
The Faculty of Law, UWI Mona is pleased to invite you to a Forum on the CCJ’s Ruling in Shanique Myrie v The State of Barbados. The panel will provide a background to the relevant Community Law and the CCJ’s original jurisdiction, outline the key aspects of the ruling and analyse the decision.

Public Forum: Jamaica's Social Partnership Agreement

Public Lecture - Medical Physics in Radiation Medicine
The University of the West Indies' Department of Physics presents a Public Lecture on Medical Physics in Radiation Medicine: Opportunities and Challenges. Dr. Ahmed Meghzifene, Head of the Medical Radiation Physics Department at the International Atomic Energy Agency will be presenting. His presentation will highlight the role of the Medical Physicist in Radiation Medicine as a key professional with a specialized training, skills and competence in clinical medical physics and radiation protection. Public Lectures on Climate Change and Global Warming
The Department of Physics presents two public lectures on "Facing the Challenges of Global Warming and Climate Change: Lessons from the St.Vincent Climate Compliance Initiative. Download event flyer HERE.

The first lecture is scheduled for students at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and takes place at the Department of Physics Lecture Room B. The second lecture is scheduled for Faculty and the General Public and will take place at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Undercroft

Research Forum - Dept. of Library & Information Studies
The Department of Library and Information Studies will be hosting its first Research Forum under the theme, “Showcasing Research in Library and Information Science: Implications for Practice”. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Donald Anderson, Managing Director of Market Research Services Limited. This forum will show-case library and information science research via poster presentations. The audience will comprise lecturers, and library and information professionals who work in various libraries as well as students in the Department of Library and Information Studies.
