The book, Blooming with the Pouis: Critical Thinking, Reading and Writing across the Curriculum, is a compilation of different articles spanning a wide range of subject areas which are arranged by co-authors Paulette A. Ramsay (a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Education at The University of the West Indies, Mona), Vivienne A. Harding and Ingrid A. McLaren (Lecturers in the Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy at The University of the West Indies, Mona) and Janice A. Cools (a former Instructor in the Department of Language, Linguistics and Philosophy at The University of the West Indies, Mona). Contributors of articles are drawn mainly from a diversity of Caribbean writers and a few non-Caribbean authors whose achievements range from being university professors to journalists and other professions such as clergy, lecturer, politician and scientist. From reading through the gamut of collective writings, I have gleaned that the term, Caribbean within these pages include countries that are bordered by the Caribbean Sea. Consequently, I perceive that Belize and Honduras would be considered to be a part of the Caribbean region due to their geographical location.
