Rates & Fees
A discount of 10% will be given on accommodation and laboratory fees if the bill is paid 30 days before arrival. No refunds for changes after payment. Credit can only be applied to charges during visit. Space can only be confirmed when payment is received. Additionally a 10% surcharge will be added to bills paid after leaving the lab.

Twin-bedded rooms are available in 3–bedroom, 2–bedroom, and 1–bedroom flats in an apartment building, two bedsitter flats and eight dormitory rooms, with each dorm containing between 4 & 6 bunk beds.

Note:
- These fees include the cost of electricity, gas, water, security and weekly cleaning.
- Flat 1 & Flat 3 are 2-bedroom, air-conditioned flats for which a single rate applies. Each flat can accommodate a maximum of 4 visitors.
- In the event all other flats are unavailable, Flats 1 & 3 will be made available at the above-stated rates. Please book early to ensure you get the flat you wish.
- Linen and towels are provided.
- Additional charges are applied for the non-return of keys and breakage.

Facility fees secure the use of a reasonable amount of both wet and dry laboratory space, the use of laboratory equipment, computer access, Internet access and the use of boats for research. Please see rate schedule regarding boat use and diving.

At the Discovery Bay Marine Lab, you can snorkel at some of the best spots in the area, including Pear Tree Bottom (PTB), Dairy Bull (DB), Fore Reef (FR), Rio Bueno (RB), West Back Reef (WBR), and East Back Reef (EBR).

Our snorkeling and diving trips to various locations around the Discovery Bay Marine Lab come with different surcharges, depending on the boat and destination.

Additional Charges
A fee of $US30.00 for all dive check outs performed outside of normal working hours. e.g. before 0700 hrs, after 1530 hrs, weekends & holidays.

- Surcharge is based on fuel costs and is therefore subject to change.
- Other locations outside of those stated above, will be assessed individually.
- If multiple trips for one day period, same boat, there is only one access fee.
