Academic Board Sub-Committee for Undergraduate Student Matters (Chair)

Consideration and decisions on student requests for adjustments to registration or academic records are handled by the Academic Board Sub-Committee for Undergraduate Student Matters (ABSCUSM) for which the Deputy Principal is Chair. The underlying principle is that any adjustments made to a student’s record (whether on their behalf or at their request) must have at least Academic Board approval.

Requests to the ABSCUSM Mona that include late adjustments to registration and leave of absences are processed via the Automated Student Request System (ASRS). The Chair considers these requests on behalf of the Sub-Committee being guided by established UWI policies and agreed deadlines, and takes extraordinary student matters to the Committee to come to a decision that is in the best interest of both the student and The UWI.
