On September 8, 2023, members of the UNESCO Office for the Caribbean visited the Faculty of Science and Technology where they met with members of the management team and toured the Insectary. Members of the UNESCO's delegation were Dr. Anna Paolini, Director and (country) Representative; Alibek Otambekov, Science Programme Specialist, Natural and Ocean Sciences Sector; and Patricia Lewin, Project Officer, Natural and Ocean Sciences Sector - UNESCO Office for the Caribbean. The UNESCO delegation engaged the FST Management team in discussions about new and existing initiatives aligned with promoting the growth and development of science in the Jamaica.
